Data Deletion
Your data, your call. Here's how to manage it — or wipe it completely.
We believe you should always be in control. Here's exactly how everything works.
When you first open B-Anon, we create an anonymous account for you automatically — no name, no email, no phone number. Your account is tied to your device's unique Mobile ID, which lets you stay logged in without ever revealing who you actually are.
Your anonymous Mobile ID, app preferences, and cached chats — all local to your phone.
Your friend list, encrypted chat history, and your Google link if you set one up for recovery.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your account or data.
That's on purpose — if you reinstall on the same device, everything comes back exactly how you left it. Your chats, friends, and history are all still there. Uninstalling and deleting are two very different things.
When you hit that delete button inside the app, here's exactly what gets permanently wiped from our servers — no take-backs:
All Chat History Deleted
Every message, image, voice note, and video — gone from our servers, permanently.
Friend List Deleted
Every connection and friend you've made — completely removed.
Anonymous Account ID Deleted
Your Mobile ID and anonymous account record — erased like they never existed.
Google Account Link Deleted
If you linked Google for recovery, that connection gets wiped from our records too.
Usage Metadata Anonymised
Some anonymised usage stats may stick around to help us improve the app, but there's zero way to connect them back to you.
Quick note: since your account is anonymous, we can't verify who you are over email — so email deletion requests won't work. You'll need to do it from inside the app.
Open the B-Anon app
Make sure you're on the phone that's linked to the account you want to delete.
Go to Settings
Tap the Settings icon — you know where it is.
Tap "Delete Account"
Scroll down until you see the Delete Account option.
Confirm the deletion
Read the warning carefully and confirm. Once you tap confirm, it's done — immediate and permanent.
Lost your phone? Whether you can still delete your account depends on one thing — did you link a Google account before it happened?
You're covered — just install B-Anon on a new phone, sign in with Google, and then head to Settings → Delete Account.
Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do remotely. Since we never collected any personal info, we have no way to verify it's actually your account.
